This guide is about installing Svea Payments to your Shopify store. New Shopify Payment App was released in 2021 and it replaces the previous Svea Payment Gateway integrations.
All Shopify shops not yet using the new payment app need to update their settings in the Shopify admin panel. The old Svea Payment Gateway integrations deprecates in July, 2022.
You can also use this instruction when installing Shopify Payment App to a new store.
Prerequisites
You have created a store on the Shopify platform
You have Owner-level permissions to manage settings
You have your Seller id and Secret Key ready
Summary
In your Shopify store, install and activate separate Payment Apps for each payment method
Install Svea Companion App
Activate customer contact method “email”
In Payments, activate Payment capture: Automatic
Installation
Option 2: Install separate Payment Apps for each payment method. Buyers can select the payment method on the Shopify checkout page.

Log in to your Shopify store admin
In Settings - go to Payments - choose: Add payment methods
Select Search by provider and write in search box the name of the payment app (app names are listed below. For example Svea Erämaksu)
(NOTE! You can alternatively skip steps 2-3 and find and install the apps by following installation links listed below. Click the installation link for the payment method you want to install
and choose “Connect”.)
Select Activate
Select Connect
Select Install app
Enter your credentials:
Production Merchant Id and Production Merchant Key. Press Save. If needed, you can find
your credentials in Svea’s Extranet. If you don’t have an Extranet account, contact our customer service.
Note! Webhooks from the old integration are not needed anymore.
Select Confirm
Select Activate Svea <Payment Method Name>:
Note! Enable test mode only if you are using a test service

Under “Supported Payment Methods” all the current payment methods are listed
Select the payment method you want to disable and press "Manage"
At the bottom of the page press “Deactivate <payment service name>"
NOTE! Only use “Deactivate”. Do not delete any webhooks or change any other settings.
Repeat steps 2-
10 for each payment method you want to install.
If you use installation links, make sure to use the correct installation link for each payment method.
The new installation is now completed.

Then: Customer contact method – select “Email”

Then Payment capture: activate Automatic

Disabling the old integration
If you have previously used Svea Payment -integration, the old integration must be disabled when the new integration is implemented.
Go to "Payments" in the store settings
Under “Supported Payment Methods” all the current payment methods are listed
Select the payment method you want to disable (for example Svea Payment Gateway v2) and press "Manage"
At the bottom of the page press “Deactivate <payment service name>"
NOTE! Only use “Deactivate”. Do not delete any webhooks or change any other settings.
NOTE! If you have had a payment page bypass, each payment method must be disabled separately.
